Miles Teller: The Basics
Miles Alexander Teller, known professionally as Miles Teller, is an American actor. Miles Teller was born on 20 February 1987 in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. He started getting some recognition with the drama Whiplash movie but the Divergent film trilogy - Divergent, Insurgent and Allegiant - allowed him to gain an even wider recognition. Miles Teller is married to the American model Keleigh Sperry since 2019 and they have been in a relationship since 2013.
As a hobby, he can play the saxophone as well as the drums, piano and guitar. He is 1.85 m in height.
Miles Teller: Beyond Divergent
After Divergent, he ventured into the realm of superheroes with the Fantastic Four in 2015, where he played Mister Fantastic.
He then turned to biopics, playing Vinny Paz in 2016's Bleed for This. A little anecdote about this film: he trained for 5 months to get the boxer's physique.
Following in the footsteps of biopics, he will make two dedicated to state forces: he will play Granite Mountain Hotshots firefighter Brendan McDonough in 2017's Only the Brave, and military man Adam Schumann from the 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment during the 2007 Iraq deployment in 2017's Thank You for Your Service.
He appears in 2020's The Fence and also in the miniseries The Offer, which chronicles the production of The Godfather. Miles plays Albert S. Ruddy, the film's producer.
He will appear in Taylor Swift's I Bet You Think About Me in November 2021.
In 2022, he will join the cast of Top Gun: Maverick as Lieutenant Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw, son of Maverick's best friend (played by Tom Cruise). He also mentioned that he had proposed a film centered on his character to the studio. This film, dubbed Top Gun: Rooster, is currently in talks with Tom Cruise.

Miles Teller is very good at baseball. He took part in numerous competitions and for a time wanted to become a professional baseball player.
Miles Teller was involved in a car accident in 2007 that left scars on his face. He also wears a green bracelet bearing the inscription "Buckle up for Bo", which appears in most of the films in which he plays. He wears this bracelet in honor of one of his friends who died in the accident.
In high school, he was a drummer for a church youth group band.
He starred in the 2013 film The Spectacular Now with Shailene Woodley, Beatrice's actress.
During casting for Divergent, he applied to play Four, but was turned down.
He was offered the role of Eric, which he declined. He rejoined the cast as Peter at the request of Shailene, who wanted to work with him again. They are very good friends.
He hesitated to join the cast of Top Gun: Maverick because of the attention he would receive from Tom Cruise's presence in the film. He eventually accepted the role of Bradley Bradshaw after Tom Cruise convinced him he was perfect for the part.
His fears about the public reception of his presence in Top Gun: Maverick went over well, as he considers the experience to have been great and that he "never really experienced something like this in my life."
He is involved in support causes like education and poverty eradication.
He loves reading multiple genres and he believes it opens minds.
Miles Teller finds the 1970s films inspiring and he loves their storytelling techniques and their realism.
