How do you describe your job in 5 words?
Drawing what you shop for!
What do you like the most?
Honestly, I love the freedom! Hazel is a such a wonderful person to work for,
and she's so lenient with what we draw! I'm currently working on some additions to Wildflower Wonders,
and I'm so excited! I love being able to just draw, and know that my drawings are going to be visible on site!
How did you decide to apply? Why this job specifically?
I decided to apply as illustrator, honestly because I was pressured to! I'm an artist in real life,
and having sent artwork to people on site, they all pressured me to apply for illustrator,
including Hazel ! It was a job I was considering anyway, purely because I love drawing,
but sometimes I need motivation to draw - and this job gave me that motivation!
What's a typical day?
Well, a typical day I suppose would be going to my classes, because I make sure I get to my classes on time
and get all my homework done, and then once I finish all my homework, I like to sit in the library and draw,
or I'll sit outside and draw. I especially like sitting on the roof when it's dark outside!
How long does it take?
This is a complicated question because it really depends on what I'm drawing.
For example, some illustrations might only take a few hours, and some illustrations
(like the one I'm currently working on) might take weeks!
What would you say to someone who's hesitating to apply?
I would say, go for it! There's nothing stopping you but yourself!
If you have the skill and the dedication, you'll be such an amazing addition to the team!
